Elyzea or Beaucare?
Posted Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 9:09 AM

Hey everyone

I'm getting really, really close now to getting the courage to book a consultation appointment for lipo! I have been reading every post on the internet in my quest to find the right surgeon/clinic.
It's great to read everyone's experiences - though still really difficult to work out who to use because I suppose there will always be good and bad experiences! I think I have narrowed it down to Dr Torrekens at Elyzea or Dr Plovier at Beaucare.
If anyone has any experience at either of these places then please can you let me know how you got on? I will keep everyone updated throughout my journey!!

Thank you in advance

Very Happy Very Happy

I had a consultation for BA at Elyzea with Dr Adda in June 2007. He was a really plesant man but he has now retired. Dr Dedoncker was my surgeon in the end.
Dr Dedoncker is very experienced and a great surgeon. Dr Neuprez is also supposed to be fantastic, good luck!

I went to Beaucare last year for TT and lipo to flanks. Dr Plovier is a young surgeon but very knowlegable, also put me at ease. The other staff are also very friendly and speak fantastic English. They will not send you back to your hotel unless they are sure that you are ok. Also you get given an emergency contact number for the surgeon, if there are any problems he will offer to come to your hotel to see you.The clinic was very clean and the recovery room has a great view over the gardens with wild rabbits running around. I would recommend the clinic and am going to go back soon hopefully for BA.

I had surgery with Beaucare last year, I had six areas of lipo done. Once the swelling had gone down I had dropped from a 16/18 to a 12/14 and lost almost two stone!
I am going back again soon to have lipo on my stomach and can't wait. Would highly recommend.

I am going for lipo on the 18th June, so not long now!!

Really would like to ask Libby a few questions and would be so grateful if you could answer then, you probably remember what you were like before your surgery!!

How long did it take for the swelling to go down and where? you in pain for

When could you see the results?

Did Dr Berbinski do your surgey? If so whats he like?

During the op, i know it's sedation, can you feel, hear or remember anything. This is worrying me quite alot.

Anything else you could help me with or think will help or i should know i would be ever so grateful.

Cheers.
