Criteria for choosing a plastic surgeon

Here at surgery forums we were wondering, what criteria people have when looking for a plastic surgeon. Is cost a deciding factor or is it the location of the clinic. Or do you look for a surgeon you can trust? What research did you do before choosing your surgeon?

We'd love to hear your thoughts.

INspiration needed

Dear all,

Thank you so much already for reading this. I'm hoping that many of you may be able to help with some requests I've had from Essentials, The People and Daily Mirror. Basically I've been asked to come up with stories from people who have had cosmetic surgey and the reasons behind their decision, regardless of the procedure.

Because I'm a freelance writer I'm also interested in anything weird and wonderful I may not have mentioned so please feel free to get in touch with your ideas or questions at f.ford @yahoo.co.uk/mail@fionaford.co.uk or call me on 077363 90006.

I'm not looking to sensationalise your experiences in any way, merely relate them to a sympathetic audience who may well understand and support what you have gone through.

Thanks again for your time,

Fiona

RE: Elyzea or Beaucare?

I am going for lipo on the 18th June, so not long now!!

Really would like to ask Libby a few questions and would be so grateful if you could answer then, you probably remember what you were like before your surgery!!

How long did it take for the swelling to go down and where? you in pain for

When could you see the results?

Did Dr Berbinski do your surgey? If so whats he like?

During the op, i know it's sedation, can you feel, hear or remember anything. This is worrying me quite alot.

Anything else you could help me with or think will help or i should know i would be ever so grateful.

Cheers.

Hi there,
I had rhinoplasty at the hospital group yesterday and have left looking like jacko. I asked for the tip to be 'slightly' refined and turned up but I look like somthing from a horror movie and the bit between my nostrils is slanted up too instead of tapering downwards as it should. Is this normal a day after surgery or is it likely to stay like this? I'm horrified and scared to even look in the mirror. Also, the distance between my nose and top lip is now way too long!

Hair is a total reflection of the entire face and body. Big hair along with large shoulder pads and bold colors are always a great sign of success. Hairstyle can be chosen to fit the individual in the right frame of mind thus making people love these new hairstyles. Best usage of brand oils, shampoos and conditioners add much moisture content and nourishment to the hair.
RE: Harley Medical Group?

Hi,

I have just used the Harley Medical Group in Birmingham and had the operation in London last week (18th March). All the staff have been fantastic and I can definately recommend them. My Surgeon was Dr Malik.
I had the under the muscle surgery which I must be honest am finding very painful. I'm on 2 weeks off work which if you have it done this way you will most certainly need. I was a size UK 6/8 32A and went to a hopeful 32C (this is the target once the swelling has gone down). It is hoped this method will look more natural, especially as I had very little breast tissue to work with to start with.

If you do your research and follow the surgeon's advice I am sure everything will go really well.
