RE: Elyzea or Beaucare?

I am going for lipo on the 18th June, so not long now!!

Really would like to ask Libby a few questions and would be so grateful if you could answer then, you probably remember what you were like before your surgery!!

How long did it take for the swelling to go down and where? you in pain for

When could you see the results?

Did Dr Berbinski do your surgey? If so whats he like?

During the op, i know it's sedation, can you feel, hear or remember anything. This is worrying me quite alot.

Anything else you could help me with or think will help or i should know i would be ever so grateful.

Cheers.

RE: Harley Medical Group?

Hi,

I have just used the Harley Medical Group in Birmingham and had the operation in London last week (18th March). All the staff have been fantastic and I can definately recommend them. My Surgeon was Dr Malik.
I had the under the muscle surgery which I must be honest am finding very painful. I'm on 2 weeks off work which if you have it done this way you will most certainly need. I was a size UK 6/8 32A and went to a hopeful 32C (this is the target once the swelling has gone down). It is hoped this method will look more natural, especially as I had very little breast tissue to work with to start with.

If you do your research and follow the surgeon's advice I am sure everything will go really well.

I ended up having overs and was pleased as I have heard recovery time can be longer with unders but it's all down to what is best for you.

I have been trying hard for the last ten weeks, including giving up alcohol, counting calories and eating fruit till it comes out of my ears and have only lost around half a stone. I have sticked to around 1,000 to 1,400 calories a day, so am feeling pretty disheartened!I will stick to it , as I am feeling a bit healthier.
That does sound like loads to lose in short space of time! Also no veggies and fruit in the diet does not sound too good to me.
Also Special K does have a lot of sugar in it too, not a diet cereal at all.Porridge is really good but beware of microwavable sachets that contain loads of sugar too. Lunch should be your bigest meal with lots of veggies.

Dr Plovier is a young surgeon but very knowlegable, also put me at ease. The other staff are also very friendly and speak fantastic English. They will not send you back to your hotel unless they are sure that you are ok. Also you get given an emergency contact number for the surgeon, if there are any problems he will offer to come to your hotel to see you.The clinic was very clean and the recovery room has a great view over the gardens with wild rabbits running around.
Hey everyone

I'm getting really, really close now to getting the courage to book a consultation appointment for lipo! I have been reading every post on the internet in my quest to find the right surgeon/clinic.
It's great to read everyone's experiences - though still really difficult to work out who to use because I suppose there will always be good and bad experiences! I think I have narrowed it down to Dr Torrekens at Elyzea or Dr Plovier at Beaucare.
If anyone has any experience at either of these places then please can you let me know how you got on? I will keep everyone updated throughout my journey!!

Thank you in advance
