One of my friends has successfully managed to lose about 4 stone with the Cambridge diet, has anyone tried it before?
My main worry is maintaining my weight after losing some as I know how easy it is to put it on again!

RE: 3st loss by July? Possible?

I have tried loads of diets in the past, with success, only to put weight back on immediatly after.

I have been trying hard for the last ten weeks, including giving up alcohol, counting calories and eating fruit till it comes out of my ears and have only lost around half a stone. I have sticked to around 1,000 to 1,400 calories a day, so am feeling pretty disheartened!I will stick to it , as I am feeling a bit healthier. I have around two - three stone to lose :(

That does sound like loads to lose in short space of time! Also no veggies and fruit in the diet does not sound too good to me.
Also Special K does have a lot of sugar in it too, not a diet cereal at all.Porridge is really good but beware of microwavable sachets that contain loads of sugar too. Lunch should be your bigest meal with lots of veggies.

This is what I'm planning on having to eat to try and reach my ideal weight.
-Cereal like fruit and fibre or special k for breakfast
-Brown rice and skinless fish for lunch
-Small portion of pasta with chicken/quorn for dinner
-Possibly fruit as an occasional snack

I will be attending the gym 3 times a week and doing some walking.Do you think this is acheivable?

RE: How will weighloss affect my BA results?

Weightloss/gain can cause problems after BA. I lost around 2 stone in the year after I had my BA. One of my breasts is noticably different to the other where it has gone 'saggy'. I am really not happy with the way I look now, think I was happier before surgery. I spoke to my surgeon and he was not at all helpful and said all my problems were due to the weightloss. Basically they were not at all interested except to say that it could be corrected, but of course this is going to cost me more money. Better start saving!!

can anyone help

Dear all

Apologies for posting on this site - the last thing I want to do is offend anyone so please accept my sincerest apologies if that's the case.

However, I am a freelance writer and I have been asked by a leading women's magazine to examine the issue of plastic surgery and the emotional reasons behind their decision.

Consequently, I wondered if anyne would be willing to share their story, and in turn I can promise you that if you would be interested in finding out more I wil not only ensure you are treated with sensitivity and respect but also compensated for your time and effort.

If you are at all interested please email me at fiona_ford@hotmail.com.

Many thanks,

RE: Ideal heart rate for fat burning???

To use fat for energy efficiently you must exercise aerobically (with oxygen). There are a few ways used to determine the target heart rate/fat-burning zone. One is a calculated-age method, in which you take the number 220, subtract your age, and multiply that number by 70 percent. However, this method is not accurate because not everyone is in the same physical condition. Some may find that working out by this method will be very easy, while others may find it extremely difficult.

Here's the link:
http://www.tbfinc.com/target_heart_rate.htm
Hope this helps!

RE: How often to work out?

I do cardio everyday. I have a gym in my home so it makes it relatively easy to find the time. I try to do abs 2 - 3 times a week and other weight work at least once. I am trying to lose 5 pounds currently just to see if I get down to 135 if I could maintain it, but for the last 3 years or so I've been basically happy where I am 5'8" and 138 - 140) so just in the maintaining stage.

How will weighloss affect my BA results?

Hi everyone.

I've been doing pretty well on my diet and exercise, but I am stressed about how it will affect my BA results.I started off with very little and
very saggy A cups and I have lost some weight this month and starting to feel paranoid about losing size with losing weight. I feel like my bras are fitting a little looser, but it could have something to do with my rib size shrinking a bit.
I want to drop the pounds and tone up, but don't want to lose my shape on top.
